The British Cryogenics Council have opened the Booking Office for their Introductory Cryogenics Course, which will be hosted at the STFC Daresbury Laboratory on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th November 2022.

Summary:
The course is an introduction for those new to low temperature systems, starting from a basic level and building up over two days. The material is aimed primarily at graduate engineers, new postgraduate students, and technicians. Lectures will cover a history and overview of cryogenics, properties of matter at low temperatures, heat transfer, cryostat design, user safety, design safety, and mechanical coolers.
